Team Taylor's Red Dragon

Team Taylor's David Pattrick (Sleaford) and Simon Ashton (Sheffield) endured what can be best described as an entertaining Red Dragon Rally on Saturday.

The Port Talbot based event contained five classic South Wales forest stages and all was going well in the Peugeot 106 camp until the third stage when the normally super reliable Peugeot 106 began to jump out of gear. An overshoot and a half spin lost only minimal time with just one stage to run. Unfortunately the weather turned and the final stage started in the middle of a thunderstorm - the windscreen sun-strip managed to tangle the wipers and caused them to jam! Despite more problems in one event than in the rest of the season so far, David and Simon claimed third in class and a fine 52nd overall.

Andy Burton dominated the event in his hybrid Peugeot 306 winning by one and a quarter minutes after 45 stage miles.
