Team Taylor's Debut Success
Team Taylor's David Pattrick (Sleaford) and Simon Ashton (Sheffield) scored a debut success together at the weekend with a fine second in class on the Wyedean Forest Rally.
Based at Chepstow with nine stages in the surrounding Forest of Dean, the pairing started at a reasonable pace as the partnership started to gel. Then, following the halfway service halt they stepped up the pace to jump into second in class. Their Group 'N' (standard car class) Peugeot 106 Rallye ran like a dream throughout the forty-five stage mile event, only an overshoot delayed them on longest stage of the event when they stalled the engine in front of the spectators!
Team Taylor will be in action once more in March when the Peugeot Sport BTRDA Gold Star Championship recommences with the Malcolm Wilson Stages Rally in the Lake District.
