Team Taylor second again!

David Pattrick (Sleaford) and Simon Ashton (Sheffield) had a boost of luck on Saturday's Spilsolv Red Dragon Rally to score a fighting second in class and 54th overall.

The same event last year gave Team Taylor more than its' fair share of problems, and when the service van broke down three times en-route to the start this year, the omens didn't look good.

However the crew attacked the South Wales stages and despite exploring a few ditches came out of the penultimate stage just three seconds behind the class leader. A puncture on the following road section seemed to prove that David and Simon's luck had changed for the better but it hadn't quite changed enough to give the Peugeot 106 mounted crew their first class victory together.

The result is the Team's fifth Championship second in class of the season proving consistency if nothing else. David and Simon's next event is the Dukeries Rally in three weeks time - their home round of the Championship where they finally hope to go one better...
