Rally team aiming for more success
Sleaford's David Pattrick and Sheffield's Simon Ashton recommence their attack on the Peugeot Sport BTRDA Gold Star Rally Championship this coming Saturday (6th March) on the Malcolm Wilson Rally.
The pairing's first event together was last months Wyedean Forest Rally where they claimed a fine second in the up to 1400cc standard car class (Group 'N') in their Taylors of Boston backed Peugeot 106 Rallye. The pairing are hoping to at least match that debut outing success this weekend now that they have gained some experience of working together.
This weekends event is based in the picturesque Lake District town of Cockermouth with the 45 miles of action taking place in the nearby forest's of Comb, Wythop and Grizedale. The event takes the name of local sponsor and boss on the factory Ford Rally Team, Malcolm Wilson, whose Focus World Rally Car has just won the gruelling Safari Rally in the hands of Colin McRae.
