19 Year Old makes International debut
Nineteen year old, Ian Barrett (Clayton West, Huddersfield), makes his International Rally debut this weekend on the Vauxhall Rally of Wales.
With Sheffield's Simon Ashton on the pacenotes, the youngster aims to make an impression at the highest possible level in the UK by making the giant leap direct from clubman rallying.
Ian is no stranger to success though. He won his class on only his second ever event, and last year - in his first full season - Ian won the Northern Stage Rally Championship at a canter.
With two days and a five hundred mile route throughout mid Wales the Vauxhall Corsa driver will face stiff opposition but aims to impress following last weeks announcement that the 19 year old had attracted a major sponsorship deal from automotive component giant Delphi (aftermarket).
