Competition History

Competed on his first Road Rally in 1992 as a driver.

Won only his second ever event, the 1993 Three Swans Road Rally, many top ten results followed on the way to second overall in the ANCC Road Rally Championship.

Made his stage rally debut on the 1994 Tour of Lincs as a co-driver whilst still driving on road rallies - winning Lindholme MSC's Twelve-Car Road Rally Championship.

First stage rally success was on the 1994 Everquip Stages Rally co-driving to twenty-fourth overall and third in class.

In 1996 Simon made his debut as a Road Rally Navigator claiming eighth overall and first in class on the very first event, another top ten result followed shortly afterwards.

1997 - 1st overall co-driver in the Autofocus Photography Northern Stage Rally Championship Multi-Venue Challenge.

1st co-driver in class (1600c.c.) - Ti Rallyschool Northern Stage Rally Championship.

2nd overall - Ti Rallyschool Northern Stage Rally Championship.

3rd in class - Stena Line Ulster International (Colway F1400) Rally.

In 1998 Simon started co-driving for the Woodfield Garage Rally Team. Five class wins were bagged and six top ten overall placings left Simon as runaway victor in the Phoenix Awards ANEMMC Stage Rally Championship.

Simon's first outright victory on the stages came on the same event (October Stages) as Ian scored his maiden class win.

1999 has seen Simon venture further afield as he claimed third in class in the Peugeot Sport BTRDA Gold Star Championship where events have taken him from South Wales to the Lake District and he has scored seven top three class placings.
